Terror Roots
AFTAB: ISIL has committed unconscionable crimes and proudly shared videos of those crimes with the world. It’s entertaining when we hear U.S. officials talking about going in to stop ISIL without considering that the roots of this group come from the U.S. invasion of Iraq. The roots of this group come from the extremist thinking that the Saudi regime exports all across the region.

Bogus War
ABRAR: Even before helping the Saudis and the Qataris to give birth to ISIL, the British and the American governments were busy using terrorism as a crowbar to pry into the private lives of their citizens, allow intelligence agencies to gather information on Muslims, facilitate rendition flights, target citizens who were engaged in nothing more than lawful protest and dissent, and get their armies ready to invade sovereign nations in the name of war on terror.

Fraudulent Alert
SHARQ: A new fraudulent terror alert endeavors to convince the people in the U.S., Britain and the EU that sufficient threat still exists to such a perilous degree from a largely mythical Al-Qaeda and now home-grown ISIL goons that not only is covert disruption necessary but a wholesale violation of human rights and privacy - backed by yet another air war on Iraq - with a Syria extension later.

In Denial
DONYAYE EQTESAD: The one nation where people underestimate the inequality that engulfs them is the United States. The United States ranks as the only country in the world with a more optimistic perception of the society than suggested by the actual distribution of incomes. The country doesn’t just have the world’s most unequal major developed economy. It has the most people in denial about the inequality they live amid.
