Tehran Holds Int’l Storytelling Festival Online
TEHRAN ( IBNA) -- The Center for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (CIDCYA) in Tehran will hold the 23rd International Storytelling Festival as a virtual event sceduled for December 2021 due to coronavirus pandemic.
Earlier, the center announced that the storytellers should adopt one of the traditional-ritual, classical, and modern methods to express their stories. They also will pick their audience among the three categories of children, young adults and adults, public and international department of Center for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults announced.
This year, the festival’s motto is “The Future Should Be Built.” The best storyteller will receive 300 million rials (nearly $1500) prize money as well as the statue of the festival.
One of the interesting sections of the 23rd International Storytelling Festival is titled “Storytelling in 90 seconds” in which ordinary people will tell their life story briefly in a 9o seconds video which will be sent to the secretariat of the festival to be judged by experts.
