‘The Last Word’ by Iranian Artist Aghdashloo Released




TEHRAN (IBNA)-The collection of articles written by the prominent artist and writer Aydin Aghdashloo from 1974 to 2014 titled ‘The last word’ was released.
According to IBNA correspondent, ‘The Last Word’ features 72 articles selected from the earlier books authored by Aghdashloo or those he already published in the Iranian journals on various fields of visual arts such as painting, illustration, calligraphy, cinema as well as art criticism, history, archaeology and written memories.
The title of this book refers to the achievements of an artist throughout his life. Aghdashloo also offers articles and notes about several Iranian prominent artists and literati including Kamal ol-Molk, Bahman Mohasses, Kamran Katouzian, Mohammad Bahrami, Morteza Momayez, Ghobad Shiva, Mas’oud Ma’soumi, Nima Youshij, Sadegh Hedayat, Nasser Vosoughi, Jalal ale Ahmad, Ali Hatami, Ahmad Shamloo, Forough Farokhzad, Darius Shayegan and Ahmad Reza Ahmadi.
Born in 1940, Aydin Aghdashloo has already published a number of books such as ‘Portraits: A collection of Paintings’, ‘Joys and Sorrows: Selected Articles’, ‘Aqa Lotfali Souratgar Shirazi”, ‘From the Earth and the Sky: A Look at the Persian Calligraphy from the Beginning Until Today’.
