APEC Summit Signals US Decline on the World Scene

The closing ceremony of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), especially the photo session, ended with a good omen as participants accorded China’s president the centre stage while pushing the US president to the sidelines, in particular to the extreme end of the back row, thereby signaling Washington’s eviction from the international stage.
The Republican party of US president-elect, Donald the Dotard (Trump), is already mocking Joe Biden for being a disgrace to the country by arriving five minutes late, and that too in a dazed state, for the group photo of 21 world leaders in the capital of Peru, claiming that their man will Make America Great Again (MAGA).
This is nothing but an empty boast, and nothing but delusion. Whether Democrat or Republican, the days of US hegemony are long past, whether in terms of technology or trade, and of course, in politics and global equations.
The proceedings in Lima during two days of speeches by participants who lauded the emphasis of President Xi Jingping of China on international trade without any protectionism, means the next US president cannot do anything to reverse the global trend.
Beijing is to hold the next APEC summit, a clear indication that the Chinese star is in the ascendant, in view of his offer to the US for cooperation between the world’s two largest economies.
Xi has already played a masterstroke that forestalls any thoughts of a trade war between China and the US, and if the new president in Washington resorts to any unhealthy steps it will be to the detriment of the American economy.
Moreover, as proven during his first four-year term (2017-21), Trump is too weak a person to do anything right, except for bombastic statements and blundering steps that only backfire to the further disgrace of the US.
As a man of a criminal bent of mind, he may resort to assassinations and acts of terrorism in support of the illegal Zionist entity, but he can neither disrupt free trade nor disturb the iron-will of nations for progress and self-defence, let alone match the political worldviews of independent countries, such as Iran, China, and Russia.
Thus, only the naïve and the infirm of faith have any fears of Trump. Those viewing him, his selection of his cabinet, and his policies, as challenging are only deceiving themselves, and the opportunity to outwit the US.
To sum up, the APEC summit in Peru signaled beginning of the end of the US global role, which Trump will certainly take down to the doldrums.
