Iranian Wrestlers Win Asian Championship in Bishkek
TEHRAN– Iran clinched five gold medals and secured the championship title in the 2024 Asian Wrestling Championship, currently taking place in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
Rahman Amouzad Khalili (65 kg), Amir-Muhammad Yazdani (70 kg), Muhammad Nokhodi (79 kg), Amir-Hussein Firouzpour (92 kg), and Amir-Hossein Zare’ (125 kg) bagged the gold medals.
Additionally, the following wrestlers earned bronze medals: Hussein Abuzari at 74 kg, Hadi Vafaipour at 86 kg, and Muhammad-Hussein Mohammadian at 97 kg.
Iran clinched the championship with 190 points, followed by Japan (130 points) and Kyrgyzstan (121 points).
