Resistance Forces Continue to Target U.S. Bases in Syria

DAMASCUS (Dispatches) – Local sources early Tuesday reported that two illegal U.S. bases in central and eastern Syria were targeted by drones.
The two U.S. bases in Syria’s al-Omar oil field and al-Khazra village were targeted with UAVs, according to the reports.
Iraqi Islamic Resistance claimed responsibility for both attacks.
Meanwhile, the so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a Britain-based war monitor, confirmed that the U.S. base in the al-Omar oil field was attacked after midnight on Tuesday, without providing further details.
While casualties have not yet been reported, the attack by the armed group is believed to be part of a series of retaliatory measures against the U.S. forces amid the ongoing conflict in Gaza, said the observatory.
The incident marks the 35th recorded attack on U.S. bases in Syria since Oct. 19, it added.
In reaction to U.S. support for the Zionist regime in the Gaza war, the Iraqi Resistance groups have repeatedly targeted the positions of American forces in recent days.
After the martyrdom of Resistance commanders who led the anti-terrorism fight in Iraq and Syria, the Iraqi parliament approved a piece of legislation to call for the withdrawal of American troops from the country, a demand that the U.S. troops have yet to meet.
