Shiraz Exhibits Exquisite Iranian Rugs
SHIRAZ (IP) - The 18th
exhibition of handmade carpets and rugs with the presence of the best weavers is underway at the Shiraz International Exhibitions in southern Iran.
Fifty-two percent of handmade carpet manufacturers in Fars province and 48 percent of handmade carpet manufacturers throughout Iran are exhibiting their latest products from March 6 to 11, 2022.
The exhibition is held to help the development and better introduction of carpet weaving in Iran.
Hamid-Reza Zollanvari, head of Fars Province’s Hand-Woven Carpet Exporters Union, told Iran Press that handmade carpets with new patterns and colors have been presented at the exhibition.
Ali Farhadi, head of int’l exhibitions in Fars province, also said that Iranian hand-woven carpets have been introduced to the world as one of the best Iranian handicrafts and have an important place in Iran’s exports.
All kinds of handmade carpets, kilims, Gabbeh, Jajim, are exhibited in the Shiraz exhibition.
