TEHRAN -- Iran’s top human rights official on Tuesday criticized certain member states of the United Nations for their total disregard of the UN Charter, including equality of sovereignty of all nations, maintaining that the riots of last year were a “multifaceted, hybrid war” against Iran. “The disturbances of the past year constituted a multifaceted, hybrid war against Iran, utilizing all capacities from social media and media to terrorist activities and foreign interference with the aim of changing Iran’s political system,” Kazem Gharibabadi told representatives of the Group of Friends in Defense of the UN Charter.
