TEHRAN -- President Ebrahim Raisi to Syria on Wednesday will focus on boosting bilateral relations and reinforcing the Axis of Resistance, Government spokesman Ali Bahadori Jahromi said on Wednesday, describing the visit as “strategic”. 

“Tomorrow, the president will travel to Syria upon an official invitation by Bashar al-Assad. The visit will take place after 13 years in continuation of the administration’s neighborliness diplomacy. It will focus on strengthening economic and political ties between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Syria, as well as the resistance axis,” he said.
