Top Commanders: Zionist Regime on Its Last Legs
TEHRAN -- Iran’s top military commanders say the occupying regime of Israel is on its last legs as the Muslim world expresses unrelenting support for Palestine on the International Quds Day.
Muslims in Iran and other countries took to the streets on Friday to express solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people and condemn the crimes of the Zionist regime.
Several high-ranking Iranian commanders addressed the rallies, pointing to the imminent fall of the occupiers.
“Quds Day manifests the significance of Palestine in the Muslim world since the issue of Palestine is not limited to occupation, rather it is a sign of confrontation between the arrogance front and Muslims,” Army chief Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi said.
“Defending Palestine is tantamount to defending regional security and there is no doubt the fall of the regime will bring peace and security to the region,” he said.
Speaking to reporters on the sideline of rallies in Tehran, Iran’s chief of police Brigadier General Ahmad-Reza Radan said supporting Palestine is a religious duty.
People consider participation in the International Quds Day demonstrations as a religious duty because a group of people have been
oppressed and Muslims are duty-bound to support the oppressed and attack the oppressor, he said.
The Army’s Ground Force chief Brigadier General Kioumars Heidari said in the past, the Palestinian youth would fight the Zionist regime with stones but today, they can target the child-killing regime with hundreds of rockets at any moment.
“No point in the occupied territories is safe from the rockets of the Islamic Republic of Iran and resistance forces,” he said.
“The Israeli regime has been polarized today and with the continuation of these conditions, as its officials admit, they may not see the 10 years ahead.”
IRGC spokesman Gen. Ramezan Sharif said the United States is not in a position to support Israel after Zionist officials said Israel can act alone against Iran.
“The situation of the Americans in the region is such that they cannot support the Zionists,” he said.
Sharif also said that “The Americans seem to be trying not to fall into the lap of the Zionists, because they know that if Zionists take action against us our in-kind retaliation will engulf the bases of those supporting them.”
The IRGC spokesman said Israeli statements about attacking Iran without American help stem from U.S. messages that they are not able to assist the Zionist regime as the case was in the past.
