Roundtable on Nizami, Etesami in Romania
TEHRAN -- The University of Bucharest will host a roundtable on two famous Persian poets Nizami Ganjavi and Parvin Etesami.
The Department of the Persian Language and Literature at the University of Bucharest, in partnership with the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Romania, will hold a roundtable on March 16, honoring the lives and works of two revered poets of Persian literature, Hakim Nizami and Parvin Etesami.
The event provides a platform for scholars, students, and literature enthusiasts to discuss and appreciate their contributions to Persian literature.
The round table is an opportunity for the attendees to deepen their understanding of the rich and diverse literary traditions of Iran, iFilm reported.
‘Layla and Majnun’ are two of the most famous characters in Persian literature, and their story has been told and retold in countless forms throughout the centuries. The tale of their tragic love was narrated in verse by Persian poet Nizami Ganjavi.
Nizami was a renowned Persian poet whose works have had a profound influence on Persian literature, and his legacy continues to be celebrated in Iran and beyond.
Parvin Etesami was a prominent Persian poetess whose great works were deeply influenced by her experiences as a woman in Iran. She often wrote about the struggles and aspirations of Iranian women.
