IME Weekly Trade Tops $485 Million
TEHRAN – The Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) on Saturday reported that over 2,056,000 tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of more than $485 million were traded in its domestic and exporting halls in the last week, posting growths of 10% in volume and 33% in value respectively.
The IME’s report said that, on its metals and minerals trading floor over 1,669,000 tonnes of commodities including, 1,035,636 tonnes of cement, 270,000 tonnes of iron ore, 268,573 tonnes of steel, 76,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 8,875 tonnes of zinc, 5,850 tonnes of aluminum, 4,570 tonnes of copper, 200 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 39 tonnes of precious metals concentrate, 27 kg of gold bars and 481 Haima SUV automobiles with total value of $279 million were traded on its trading halls.
And also, over 384,905 tonnes of oil and petrochemical commodities, including 92,276 tonnes of polymeric products, 93,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 38,000 tonnes of lube cut, 34,058 tonnes of chemicals, 11,700 tonnes of sulfur, 3,948 tonnes of base oil, 340 tonnes of insulation and 110,295 tonnes of bitumen with total value of $204 million were traded in the IME’s halls in the last week.
Last but not least was the IME’s side market with 1,752 tonnes of commodities traded on it.
