TEHRAN (Honaronline) - Mohammad-Mehdi Esmaeili made the statement via a video call on Monday on the closing ceremony of the 27th International Theater Festival for Children and Young Adults.
Iran’s Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance said arts and culture sector’s transformation requires special attention to capacities of different regions of the country, including less privileged regions.
The festival opened in Hamedan on June 22 and wrapped up on June 27.
Each part of Iran is filled with great cultural capacities which needs to flourish, Esmaeili added. The photos and news of the festival indicate that people were highly enthusiastic to hold a great festival.
“The considerable experience of this edition shows that we can have the next editions with more participants and much higher quality,” he noted.
The festival returned after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with participants from Italy, Greece, Turkey, Armenia and Iraq.
The festival ran under the supervision of Amir Mashhadi-Abbas.
