KABUL (Anadolu/Xinhua) – At least five people were killed in a bomb attack in western Afghanistan on Friday, said a local hospital.
According to a statement by Herat Hospital, 25 people, including some in critical condition, were injured in the attack that hit the Jibril area of Herat city. Eyewitnesses claimed that 10 people were killed in the attack. The Jibril area is home to mostly Shia Muslims.
Meanwhile, casualties were reported as an explosive device went off in Marja district of southern Helmand province on Friday, locals said.
