IME Weekly Trade Posts $920mn
TEHRAN – The Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) on Saturday reported that over 2,874,000 tonnes of commodities with a total value of more than $920 million were traded in domestic and exporting halls, posting growths of 23% in volume and 15% in value of trades compared to the figures of the previous week.
The report said, over 2,565,000 tonnes of metals and mineral products, including 1,210,000 tonnes of cement, 641,479 tonnes of steel, 550,000 tonnes of iron ore, 120,500 tonnes of sponge iron, 27,330 tonnes of zinc, 12,060 tonnes of aluminum, 5,080 tonnes of copper, 250 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 50 tonnes of lead and 14 kg of gold bars with total value of $680 million were traded in domestic and exporting halls in the past week.
And also, over 298,568 tonnes of oil and petrochemical productions, including 94,285 tonnes of polymeric products, 46,864 tonnes of bitumen, 62,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 51,000 tonnes of lube cut, 39,762 tonnes of chemicals, 5,250 tonnes of sulfur, 3,203 tonnes of base oil, 200 tonnes of insulation and 100 tonnes of argon with total value of $228 million were traded in trading halls.
Last but not least was the IME’s side market with 11,010 tonnes of commodities traded on it.
