Navy Commander: Iran, Oman Enjoy High-Level Relations
TEHRAN – Iran’s Army Navy Commander Rear Admiral Shahram Irani on Tuesday held talks with Oman’s Assistant to the Chief of Staff for Operations and Planning Brigadier Abdulaziz Abdullah al-Manthri and said that that despite all attempts to undermine the relationship between Iran and Oman by the enemies of the region, the relationship between the two nations remains at the height of its sustainability.
Heading a delegation, Abdullah al-Manthri is in Iran to promote military and international cooperation.
Terming Oman as a friend and brother country, Rear Admiral Irani said that pacifism and friendship are the main commonalities between Iran and Oman.
Describing the Islamic Republic of Iran and Oman as among the deep-rooted commonalities, Abdullah al-Manthri stated that they have deep roots in the field of religion, culture as well as geography, and most importantly, Iran and Oman have long-standing connections in the field of relations between the two nations.
Earlier, Iran’s Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Major-General Mohammad Baqeri and Abdullah al-Manthri discussed developing military cooperation.
Promoting training and military relations, fighting terrorism, and safeguarding the region without foreigners’ intervention are on the agenda of the meeting.
