Documentary ‘SFUMATO’ On Way to Chicago Children’s Festival

TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Iranian documentary ‘SFUMATO’ has been selected to compete at the 38th edition of the Chicago International Children’s Film Festival (CICFF) in the U.S.
The documentary narrates the story of a family who lives in a village. The oldest son of the family is of great support and tries to cover every need of his family. But, the boy runs into trouble and faces obstacles.
‘SFUMATO’ has been written, produced and directed by Amirali Mirderikvand, edited by Hassan Rahimi, sound edited by Majid Nejati, and translated by Hassan Nekoufar.
Mirderikvand’s documentary has previously participated in the Vintage International Film Festival in India, where it grabbed the jury’s special award.
It has also taken part in the Annual Chatham-Kent International Film Festival in Canada, the Archaeology Channel International Film Festival in the US, the Corti a Ponte international short film festival in Italy, and the Taos Shortz Film Festival in the U.S.
The CICFF is an Oscar-qualifying children’s film festival that hosts international works.
Each year, the CICFF presents a selection of high-quality films for children, teens, and adults, featuring over 250 films from 40 countries.
The 2021 edition of the event is scheduled for November 5-14, 2021.
