Iran’s Book House to Provide “Comprehensive , National Strategic Document for Books”
TEHRAN (IBNA)- Director General of Iran’s Book House Najaf-Ali Mirzaei (PhD) described two new plans to be implemented by IBH, the "Comprehensive and National Strategic Document for Books” and the establishment of Iran’s Supreme Educational Center of Books.
Mirzaei pointed out: "One of the missions of Iran’s Book House is to take a full and non-fragmented consideration of the publication industry and books in particular. It means that all aspects of the books and literati affairs are important for IBH.”
"The field of Iranian books suffers from the lack of major essential documents. there are a number of institutions in the country whose tasks are centered on introducing and producing books, but unfortunately there is no coordination and organic relation between the activities of these institutes, because there is no major document to be set on the agenda,” he said.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Mirzaei referred to the issue of founding the Iran’s Supreme Educational Center of Books aimed to develop the necessary knowledge and management of human sources involved in books and publication: "In fact the new techniques employed in the world’s state-of-the-art publication industry are absent in our country.”
"By establishing Iran’s Supreme Educational Center of Books, the Book House attempts to train the active persons in the field of book and publication,” Director General of Iran’s Book House said.
These plans are intended to help create a cultural vibrancy in Iranian books and publications in near future.
