IME Weekly Trade Posts $862mn
TEHRAN – The Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) has reported that around $862mn of various commodities weighting over 2,040,000 tonnes were traded in its domestic trading and exports halls, posting growths of 29% in volume and 77% in value of trades compared to the figures of the previous week.
The IME reported that over 1,750,000 tonnes of metal and mineral products including 857,181 tonnes of cement, 799,003 tonnes of steel, 43,500 tonnes of zinc dust, 37,000 tonnes of iron ore, 7,465 tonnes of copper, 6,400 tonnes of aluminum, 2,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 1,000 tonnes of zinc ingots, 480 tonnes of lead, 150 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 18 tonnes of precious metals concentrate and 1 kg of gold bars with total value of $645mn were traded in the IME domestic and exports halls in the last week.
It also added over 280,048 tonnes of various oil and petrochemical products, including 90,723 tonnes of bitumen, 81,739 tonnes of polymeric products, 63,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 30,825 tonnes of chemicals, 10,500 tonnes of lube cut, 2,830 tonnes of base oil, 1,390 tonnes of sulfur and 70 tonnes of argon with total value of $209 million were traded in its domestic and exports halls during the last week.
Last but not least was the IME’s side market with 10,455 tonnes of commodities traded on it.
