Best Horror Movie Award Goes to ‘Argon’ In Italy

TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Iranian short film ‘Argon’ has succeeded to receive the best horror movie award from the 2nd Metropolis Film Festival (MFF) in Italy.
Directed, written and produced by Shoresh Vakili, ‘Argon’ is the first zombie movie made by Iran.
According to Vakili’s latest interview with IRNA, he had avoided “copying Hollywood movies and all scenes have been domestically made.”
“In the city where the Zombie attacked, several people are hiding in the garage when a Zombie enters the garage,” reads as a plot summery to the flick.
Mobin Qaderi, Milad Moradi, Vian Kheir Abadi and Jahangir Nili make the cast team of the film.
According to official website of the event, “The Metropolis Film Festival is a unique international monthly film competition with public screening events in the modern European metropolis of Milan.”
“MFF is an awards program for short and feature films, devoted to supporting filmmakers around the globe by recognizing excellence in filmmaking.”
The 2021 annual MFF was held on December 31.
