The Day Iran Bearded the Lion in its Own Den

Ain al-Asad could be translated as either “eye of lion” or “spring of lion”. Whatever its origin, January 8, 2020 will be remembered as the day the lion was bearded in its own den.
Yesterday was the 2nd anniversary of the day when Iranian ballistic missiles rained down in the early pre-dawn hours on the military base of the US occupation forces at Ain al-Asad in Iraq, piercing the Patriot missile defence system and causing extensive damage, to the shock of the shock of the roguish Republican regime of the terrorist Donald Trump in Washington.
The perfectly timed strike by the Islamic Republic at the accurately chosen targets was designed to spare the lives of the poor US soldiers, who, were not involved in the cowardly assassination of General Qassem Soleimani, and thus according to the law of retaliation cannot and should not be killed.
It is another matter that a hundred US soldiers suffered varying degrees of brain damage because of the deafening sound of exploding missiles, for which Iran is not responsible. The psychological and physical traumas they went through and are still suffering rests squarely on the shoulders of the criminals in the White House.
After all, it was only a slight warning tap on the wrist of Washington by Tehran, whose vowed vengeance is yet to strike the chief culprits who plotted, directed, and canned out the terroristic drone operation at Baghdad International Airport on 3rd January 2020.
The souls of Martyrs Soleimani, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis and six of their colleagues will not rest in peace until the scoundrel Trump, the thug Mike Pompeo, and the other terrorists involved in the unpardonable crime are brought to justice and meted out the maximum punishment.
If the UN fails to prosecute these terrorists and if the current Democrat regime proves an obstacle in the setting up of a court for trying and executing them, then justice demands that it take its revolutionary course in view of the fact there are many conscientious Americans eager to swing into action to implement the verdict.
Of course, Iran has blacklisted and sanctioned 51 more US terrorists on the 2nd anniversary of General Soleimani’s martyrdom, including General Mark Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and former White House national security adviser Robert O’Brien.
This is not something symbolic as the western media believes on the assumption that the security ring around these criminals cannot be penetrated.
Such thoughts are mere conjecture, and as the English adage goes: Where there is a will there is a way.
So, rest assured, Iran’s ballistic missiles that shattered Ain al-Asad wasn’t a fluke strike. It was a warning of the things to come, and at the right time they will come with perfect precision to strike only the criminals, but no innocent American, as per the law of retaliation.
