Zionists Admit Hezbollah’s Growing Drone Capabilities
AL-QUDS (Dispatches) – The Zionist regime’s military sources say that drones allegedly captured after being flown over the occupied territories across Lebanon have provided insight into the growing aerial surveillance capabilities of Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah.
Lebanon and the Zionist regime are technically in a state of war and drones have become a regular feature of their heavily guarded border.
Images extracted from one drone — shown to AFP — showed what the source said was Hezbollah drone operators and pictures of other drones, as well as an aerial shot of a northern Zionist settlement and military post.
The source, speaking on condition of anonymity, said he believed the footage showed Hezbollah special forces training in how to use drones, which he said was the first such glimpse for the occupying regime.
A second source said that five Hezbollah drones — including a small observation drone — belonged to Hezbollah.
“We are learning about the enemy and the enemy is learning about us,” said the second source, also speaking on condition of anonymity. “It is kind of a learning race between Hezbollah and us.”
The Zionist regime has already been warned of the Hezbollah’s military prowess by several ranking military officials.
An Israeli research center said last month that Hezbollah is in possession of some 2,000 Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) compared to 2006 when the group had less than 50, warning that a “swarm” of such UAVs can severely damage the Zionist regime’s military.
In a report, the ALMA Research Center said based on its information and professional assessments thereof, it has concluded that Hezbollah now possesses approximately 2,000 UAVs.
“Over the past 15 years, there has been a huge increase in the number of Hezbollah’s UAVs,” it said.
“While in 2006 Hezbollah had only a few dozen UAVs (in our estimation less than 50), we have information that in 2013 they had a few hundred (about 200 UAVs) and in 2016 they had hundreds of UAVs (we estimate up to about 800). We estimate that they now have at least 2,000 UAVs,” the report added.
It then warned that an extensive attack by “swarm” of Hezbollah’s UAVs on the Zionist regime’s air systems in the north could neutralize Israel’s defenses or severely damage them.
“Another example could be a UAV attack on Haifa port, shutting it down de facto.”
