Book on Ancient Iran-China Historical Ties Published
TEHRAN (IBNA) -- A book by Chinese scholar Lin Meisun titled ‘Sino-Persian Cultural Exchanges in the Axial Age’ has been published by North West Publishing House in China.
According to the public relations department of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), the illustrated book ‘Sino-Persian Cultural Exchanges in the Axial Age’ was published in 310 color pages and 2000 copies.
Lin Meisun is one of the Iranologists who was introduced by Iran’s Cultural Attaché of the Islamic Republic of Iran to China this year as the “Top Researcher of 2021” and was awarded by the Iranian ambassador in a ceremony at Peking University.
The book provides abundant information about the historical ties of Iran-China from ancient times and is a treasure trove of Iranian historical monuments.
Lin Meisun was born in 1956 in Guangdong Province of China. He graduated from Peking University in 1982 with a degree in history and recruited the China Cultural and Research Institute of Cultural Heritage, where he was formally employed by Peking University in 1994. He has traveled to different countries and presented papers.
In Germany, he has pursued his researches and traveled to Iran for the same purpose. Professor Lin has published more than 200 scientific papers on history and is one of China’s prominent figures in archeology.
