IME Weekly Trade Posts $425 Million
TEHRAN – The Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) on Saturday reported that around 1,720,000 tonnes of commodities with a total value of more than $425 million were trade in its domestic and exporting hall in the last week.
The report added that over 1,428,000 tonnes of metals and minerals, including 1,063,000 tonnes of cement, 220,828 tonnes of steel, 70,000 tonnes of I-beam, 35,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 26,000 tonnes of zinc dust, 10,650 tonnes of aluminum, 6,460 tonnes of copper, 880 tonnes of zinc, 400 tonnes of coke and 120 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate with total value of $252 million were traded in the trade halls of IME.
And also, over 284,194 tonnes of oil and petrochemical commodities including 82,407 tonnes of polymeric products, 69,079 tonnes of bitumen, 55,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 29,638 tonnes of chemicals, 25,000 tonnes of lube cut, 17,600 tonnes of sulfur, 3,690 tonnes of base oil, 1,300 tonnes of slops wax and 150 tonnes of argon with total value of $169 million were traded in IME’s domestic and exporting hall in the last week.
Last but not least was the IME’s side market with 6,091 tonnes of commodities traded on it.
