Iran’s Cultural Heritage on View in Berlin
TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Germany hosts an exhibition on the cultural history of Iran in a Berlin institution.
The Museum of Islamic Art in Germany has organized an exhibition for the first time in a Berlin institution, featuring the cultural history of Iran – from the early civilization through the modern era.
The major art-historical survey exhibition is underway at James-Simon-Galerie in Berlin.
The exhibition displays exquisite works of art including a collection of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin.
The event’s official release notes that the exhibit “takes visitors on a journey through time and the country [Iran]’s rich cultural heritage. Some of the highlights along the way include the empires of the Achaemenids and Sasanids, the formation of a Persian Islamic culture, the extraordinary artistic achievements of the 9th to 13th centuries, and the Golden Age of the Safavids.”
Iran, Five Millennia of Art and Culture exhibition, starting on December 12, will run till March 3, 2022.
