‘Goodbye Shirazi Girl’ Goes to Canada’s Environmental Event
TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Iranian movie ‘Goodbye Shirazi Girl’ has made its way to the British Columbia Environmental Film Festival in Canada.
The film directed by Afshin Hashemi will vie at the feature film section of the first edition of the event.
‘Goodbye Shirazi Girl’ is an adaptation of one of the most famous works of the U.S. playwright Neil Simon.
“Someone from Shiraz, someone from Abadan; and both in Tehran have to cope with each other so that they can find coward Mahmoud,” a synopsis for the romcom reads.
The film is starring Shabnam Moqaddami, Aysan Haddad, and the director.
The vision of the British Columbia Environmental Film Festival (BCEFF) Society is to raise global awareness about the environment and promote a healthy future.
The first edition of the festival is slated to launch online from December 10-15, 2021.
