Urgent Need to Nip the Sectarian Plot in the Bud

Rabi al-Awwal is the month of the auspicious birthday of the Prophet of Peace, whom God entrusted the universal mission of Islam for promoting brotherhood among mankind and guiding them towards the eternal bliss of Paradise.
It is the season when Muslims all over the globe hold celebrations to renew their allegiance to the Messenger of Mercy by focusing on many of the multifaceted aspects of his dynamic personality, including unity and amity amongst the various schools of Islamic jurisprudence.
Consequently, the followers of Prophet Muhammad’s (SAWA) Immaculate Ahl al-Bayt – a Qur’anic term that emphasizes the pristine purity of his immediate family – have spared no efforts in fostering solidarity amongst Muslims, taking a cue from the Father of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini (RA), who initiated the Islamic Unity Week in 1979 to bridge the gap between the two dates of Rabi al-Awwal regarded as the birthday of the Seal of Messengers (12th for Sunnis and 17th for Shi’as).
If this dynamic was welcomed by the Ummah worldwide, for the archenemies of Islam, especially the US regime and the Zionists, it was shock since Muslim unity in matters of jurisprudence and solidarity in the political and economic spheres means end to their hegemony. .
Ever since, the Americans have mobilized their clients in Muslim countries to throw spanner in the works by sowing seeds of discord and fanning sectarian flames in order to splinter the Ummah, but their bid has largely failed as is evident in various parts of the world, such as Lebanon, Palestine, Yemen, Pakistan, India, Indonesia, Nigeria and almost all over Africa.
In a vain bid to press on with their devilish measures that includes vilification of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the CIA and Mossad have jointly created a host of terrorist outfits that masquerade as ‘puritanical Muslims’, including the macabrely murderous Daesh, which tried and failed to transform Syria and Iraq into a vast ‘Takfiristan’, extending from the Mediterranean Sea to the Persian Gulf.
It was Sunni/Shia solidarity in the two said countries that defeated this terrorist group, which was unfortunately financed by certain rootless regimes clinging to the America apron for survival.
Now as we have entered the month of Rabi al-Awwal and are all set to mark the Islamic Unity Week from tomorrow onwards with seminars, conferences, and webinars in Iran and other parts of the world, attended by both Sunni and Shi’a ulema and intellectuals, the Americans who have airlifted thousands of the defeated Daesh terrorists to Afghanistan from Syria and Iraq, are targeting the places of worship of the two main branches of Islam.
The recent bomb blasts that rocked mosques in Qunduz and Qandahar in Afghanistan on successive Fridays during the weekly congregational prayers are evident proofs in this regard.
These terrorist attacks are designed to engulf Afghanistan into a civil war whose flames would spread to other countries.
The onus now is on the Taliban militia, which is currently at the helm of affairs in Afghanistan, to defuse the situation by tracking down the Daesh terrorists and decimating them, if not, not only their claim to have mellowed and moderated over the years would be meaningless, but would plunge the country into anarchy, more destruction, and unnecessary spilling of Muslim blood to the enjoyment of the enemies of Islam.
