Zionist Troops Kill Palestinian, Injure 15 Others in Gaza

GAZA STRIP (Dispatches) – Zionist troops have killed a Palestinian in the besieged Gaza Strip, Gaza’s health ministry has said, as hundreds took part in a protest against the regime’s 14-year blockade of the territory.
Ahmad Saleh, 26, was shot in the abdomen, the ministry said on Thursday. At least 15 others were wounded by Israeli fire, including a child who was in serious condition, it said.
The Zionist regime’s military said that over 1,000 Palestinians had gathered along the fence in Gaza to protest the regime’s blockade.
“IDF [the regime’s military] troops deployed in the area are using riot dispersal means, including when necessary live fire and .22 Caliber rounds,” the military said in a statement.
Palestinians have staged nightly protests along the fence this week to voice anger at the blockade of the territory.
Meanwhile, the Zionist regime’s naval forces have injured at least one Palestinian fisherman after attacking a number of boats off the northern coast of the besieged Gaza Strip, local media reports say.
Palestine’s official Wafa news agency quoting sources reported that the assault occurred near al-Sudaniya area northwest of Gaza City on Thursday when the fishermen were sailing within six nautical miles from Gaza’s shore.
The injured man was rushed to a nearby hospital to receive necessary medical treatment.
Separately, Palestinian media reported that Zionist troops detained Palestinian civilians after storming several neighborhoods and villages around the occupied West Bank city of Jenin at dawn on Thursday.
According to local sources, at least one young Palestinians was forcibly taken away after the troops broke into his house in Fahma village, southwest of Jenin city.
The troops also assaulted family members, violently searched the building and confiscated surveillance cameras and other precious items.
Furthermore, a Palestinian boy has sustained injuries after a Zionist settler ran him over in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.
Aref Jaber, a photojournalist and member of the Human Rights Defenders Group in the southern West Bank city of Al-Khalil, told the official Palestinian Wafa news agency that Abdul-Rahim al-Jabari was struck near the illegal Zionist settlement of Kiryat Arba on Thursday.
Jaber added that the settler fled the scene after the incident.
