Houthi Vows All of Yemen Will Be Liberated

SANA’A (Dispatches) – The leader of Yemen’s Houthi Ansarullah movement, Abdul Malik Al-Houthi, has vowed that the country’s army and popular forces will liberate all of Yemen after completely defeating the Saudi-led alliance that backs mercenaries.
Al-Houthi made the remarks as fighting in the Yemeni army and popular forces are inching closer to recapturing the Ma’rib governorate from the Saudi-backed militants and mercenaries.
“We will liberate all of our country and take back all the areas occupied by the enemies [who want] to subjugate them to the Americans, British and Israelis…” he said in a speech broadcast by the Al-Masirah TV.
“We will guarantee that our country will be free and independent, not subject to any occupation by any external enemy, and not subject to any tutelage.”
The Yemeni leader stressed that his movement will continue to confront “the aggression against our country and to support the [Arab] nation’s causes.”
“The injustice done by the U.S. and the Zionist regime constitutes a dangerous threat to the religious beliefs, security, freedom and dignity of the entire Muslim world. There is no doubt that the Saudi regime is in cahoots with the United States and Israel,” he added.
The Ansarullah chief noted that Washington and the Tel Aviv regime are the main beneficiaries of the ongoing Saudi-led military onslaught against Yemen and numerous conspiracies organized against regional states.
The Ansarullah leader stressed that one could not remain silent in the face of U.S. and Zionist hostilities, as they both oppress the entire Muslim world.
“If we had failed in the war, there would have been American, British and Israeli bases in Sana’a and elsewhere in Yemen,” Houthi said.
He added that Islamic teachings underscore that one should not sit idly by in the face of aggression and siege.
Saudi Arabia, backed by the U.S. and regional allies, launched a war on Yemen in March 2015, with the goal of bringing the government of former Yemeni president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi back to power and crushing Ansarullah movement.
The war has left hundreds of thousands of Yemenis dead, and displaced millions more. It has also destroyed Yemen’s infrastructure and spread famine and infectious diseases.
Yemeni armed forces and allied Popular Committees have, however, gone from strength to strength against the Saudi-led invaders, and left Riyadh and its allies bogged down in the country.
