TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Iranian short flick ‘Painting on Shadows’ has been honored at the August edition of the South America Awards-International Bimonthly Cinema Festival.
Directed by Milad Vaezi-Majd, the short film won the Best Actor Experimental Film Award and the Best Experimental Film Award at the festival.
The cast list of the film includes Milad Mirzaee and Shora Karimi. The Best Actor Experimental Film Award went to Mirzaee.
“Who knows to what purpose the life’s presents are given to us?” a tagline to the short reads.
Also produced by Mirzaee and written by Milad Qanati, the short film has previously participated at the 2020 Cinebooth-The Live Show event in the UK.
The South America Awards is a bimonthly festival that provides an opportunity for international films to compete.
There is also an annual competition in which the winners will compete.
The latest edition of the event was held in August 2021.
