IRGC Sets Up Iran’s Largest Mobile Hospital

TEHRAN -- The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has set up an advanced mobile hospital in Iran’s western province of Kermanshah that has multiple facilities for all ailments and diseases with the focus on the treatment of the coronavirus patients.
The super-specialty hospital, inaugurated by the IRGC Ground Force, has 128 beds and is equipped with various facilities and wards, such as emergency rooms, pharmacy, intensive care unit, laboratory, and radiology department.
The medical center has also two oxygen generation systems to help the COVID-19 patients.
In comments after inaugurating the medical center, commander of the IRGC Ground Force Medical Department said the super-specialty mobile hospital is the most advanced one in the West Asia.
The IRGC Ground Force has already set up three field hospitals in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan, one of the regions hit the hardest by the outbreak of the new Indian variant of coronavirus.
In March 2020, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei assigned the Armed Forces to work on the necessary methods to prevent a further spread of coronavirus, in addition to the other activities such as treatment of patients and establishment of medical centers like field hospitals and convalescent homes.
