BOJNURD - The head of the Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture of North Khorasan province Saeid Pourabadi said on Wednesday that for the first time, 350 kilograms of first-rate saffron exported to global markets.
Pourabadi said that 300 kg of first-rate saffron was exported to Germany, 10 kg to the UAE, and 40 kg to Kuwait.
Saffron is cultivated in eight counties of North Khorasan province, in northeastern Iran. Suitable climate, compatibility, low water demand, and ease of maintenance are an important factor in the development of this export product in this province.
