Iran, Croatia Perform Inspiring African ‘Baba Yetu’
TEHRAN (Honaronline) - Two choirs from Iran and Croatia with the aim of giving hope to the people of the world and reminiscent of the common human values, they performed ‘Baba Yetu’ in the form of a common inspiring music internationally.
Milad Omranloo Leader of the Tonal Choir from Tehran and Jania Kanapic, Choir Leader of the Varazdin School of Music in a joint project, they chose ‘Baba Yetu’, an African piece in Swahili that means ‘Prayer to God.’ Which was recorded and performed in the presence of these two groups at the Cinema Museum Garden in Tehran and Trakushchan Varazdin Castle.
A joint statement by the two leaders from Iran and Croatia states:
In this difficult time when human communication has reached a minimum, it is necessary to regain our spirit and return to the beginning to return to ourselves. That’s why we chose African music; This is the common cradle of humanity and this connection point of all the people in the world.
The audio and video recording of each group was done separately and then all of them were combined into a video.
