‘Congenital’ Takes Part at Czech Republic Festival
TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Iranian short flick ‘Congenital’ has been selected to compete at the 61st edition of the Zlin Film Festival in the Czech Republic.
Co-directed by Saman Hosseinpour and Ako Zandekarimi, the short film narrates the story of a 20-year-old girl named Roja who lives in a village and is forced to marry an old man to save his brother.
The cast list of the film includes Sarina Taraqqi, Ardeshir Khodadoust, Maryam Boubani, Arina Moradi, Hadiqeh Mahmoudi, Sabah Gavili, and Nian Saedpanah.
According to festival’s official website, “Zlín Film Festival is the oldest and largest film festival of its kind in the world. This is a significant international event which has an excellent reputation and holds lots of respect”.
The festival aims to present the best of world’s cinema to the youth and children in the Czech Republic.
The 2021 edition of the event will be held on September 9-15.
