DAMASCUS (Dispatches) -- Foreign Minister of Syria Faisal Mekdad expressed gratitude to the Iranian government and nation for their pivotal role in supporting his country in various fields, particularly in the fight against terrorism.
In a meeting with an Iranian delegation, led by Deputy Foreign Minister Reza Najafi, held here on Thursday, Mekdad said the Syrian leadership, government, and people appreciate the pivotal role that the Islamic Republic of Iran has played in supporting Syria in the political, military, and economic fields and in the war against terrorism.
