India, Iran Stress Need for Intra-Afghan Talks
TEHRAN -- The Iranian and Indian foreign ministers here Wednesday underlined the need for the promotion of intra-Afghan talks that will culminate in inclusive political participation of all parties in Afghanistan.
Muhammad Javad Zarif and Subrahmanyam Jaishankar made the call during a meeting where the Indian minister pointed to the ongoing talks between representatives of the Kabul government and the Taliban group in Tehran, and thanked Iran for its efforts to bring the two sides closer to a comprehensive political solution.
