Interesting Facts

Salaam dear young friends. Hope you are all fine and in the best of health. May God protect you and guide you in all spheres of life.
As you remember, last week we talked about the advantages of gadgets and their use in the pandemic days to help the students to be in touch with their teachers and school curriculum, and this week we will explore the side effects of this useful technology.
As a matter of fact, before the advent of gadgets and mobile technology, children used to spend their summer holidays beside their families. Summer holidays for most children are a time to relax, enjoy themselves, and catch up on studies, or to spend time with family or relatives.
For students, mobile phones could be a factor for advantage or disadvantage, depending on its use. Buying a mobile phone for kids is easy, but the parents should think twice before buying for them, although in this age of satellites, mobile phones are really essential for everyone.
Smartphone overuse in children may lead to smartphone addiction or cell phone dependency, which according to some researchers, is a form of psychological or behavioural dependence on cell phones and also it is closely related to other forms of digital media overuse such as social media addiction or internet addiction disorder.
Problematic use can include preoccupation with mobile communication, excessive money or time spent on mobile phones, use of mobile phones in socially or physically inappropriate situations such as driving an automobile. Increased use can also lead to increased time on mobile communication, adverse effects on family relationships, and anxiety if separated from a mobile phone or sufficient signal.
On the contrary, a student mighty spoil his/her life through misuse of the same gadget. It’s all depend on how they use them.
Well friends, yesterday was the 25th of the lunar month Zil-Qa’dah and the day known as Dahw-al-Ardh, when several millennia ago the first dry spot of land emerged from underneath the water to catch the sun’s rays for the first time, and to gradually expand and spread above the surface of oceans, in order to serve as the cradle for transforming Planet Earth into the brilliant bed of civilization through the efforts and brains of the intelligent two-legged perfectly-moulded human race.
For your information, the first patch of land was the spot where the holy Ka’ba stands. Now you know the philosophy of the annual Hajj pilgrimage and the reason why it is the focal point of the daily prayers for the faithful throughout the globe.
Indeed, it is a blessed day, on which the faithful, many of them in the state of fasting, after performing a special ritual prayer to thank God for His infinite Favours that no human brain or the most advanced product of the brains of the intelligentsia, that is, the computer, cannot enumerate, supplicate to Him by reciting the special supplications for this day.
You will also be heartened to know that on this day, in the end times, Imam Mahdi (AS), the 12th and Last Infallible Heir of Prophet Muhammad (SAWA), will reappear to establish the global government of peace, prosperity, and justice, by weeding our corruption and oppression from Planet Earth.
Goodbye and God bless you until we meet again next week.
