IME Posts 25% Rise in Weekly Trades
TEHRAN - Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) on Saturday reported that over 1,030,000 tonnes of commodities worth almost with total value of $420 million, showing 25% and 8% of growth in terms of volume and value respectively, were traded in its domestic trading and exports halls in the past working week.
The reports said that 664,176 tonnes of metal and mineral products, including 259,914 tonnes of steel, 760 tonnes of copper, 1,315 tonnes of aluminum, 27 tonnes of precious metals concentrate, 78,440 tonnes of zinc, 306,720 tonnes of cement, 10 kg of gold bar, 7,000 tonnes of sponge iron and 10,000 tonnes of iron ore with total value of $233mn were traded in the IME domestic and exports halls in the last week.
And also, 364,262 tonnes of various oil and petrochemical products, including87,500 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 134,304 tonnes of bitumen, 94,783 tonnes of polymeric products, 36,913 tonnes of chemicals, 8,000 tonnes of lube cut, 3,420 tonnes of base oil and slack wax, 110 tonnes of argon, 1,300 tonnes of sulfur and 405 tonnes of insulationwith total value of $187million were traded in the IME domestic and exports halls.
There was also 2,133 tonnes of commodities traded on the IME’s side market.
