France’s Iranian Festival Screens ‘Borderless’

TEHRAN (IFILM) --Iranian feature ‘Borderless’ is set to participate in the 1st Iranian Cinema Festival of Chantilly in France.
‘Borderless’ will take part in the festival’s competition section.
Directed by Amir Hossein Asgari, the film is about a boy who boards a beached ship every day to catch fish and has turned it into a place for relaxation, but the presence of a stranger disturbs that calm.
The other films which were shortlisted for the festival include ‘Yadoo’, ‘Mehran’ and ‘African Violet’.
The first edition of the Iranian Cinema Festival of Chantilly was initially scheduled for March, but was postponed to November due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The festival offers a platform for talented Iranian directors to introduce their works to the world arena.
The Iranian Cinema Festival of Chantilly is organized by the Franco-Iranian Center in collaboration with the municipalities of Chantilly and Senlis as well as several Iranian art institutions and film production companies.
The upcoming edition of the event will take place on November 4-7, 2021.
