Minister: Exports to Eurasia Increase 40%

TEHRAN - Iranian Minister of Energy Reza Ardakanian has said that his country’s exports have increased by 40% after implementation of an agreement to increase cooperation with the Eurasian states.
Ardakanian said that during this trip to Russia, a meeting was held with the secretary general of the Eurasian Economic Union in which the union’s minister of trade was also present.
He continued that there were detailed negotiations on the permanence of agreement between Iran and the union.
Ardakanian said that during about 18 months of the temporary performance of Eurasia economic agreement, there was about 40% increase in Iran’s exports.
Also, imports from EU member states decreased 13% in the same period.
