Italy’s River Festival Hosts ‘Sky Sun, Tile Sun’
TEHRAN (IFILM) -- The River International Film Festival (RIFF) in Italy has been scheduled to screen Iranian short animation ‘Sky Sun, Tile Sun’.
Directed by Ziba Arzhang, the 6-minute animation will be shown at the 35th edition of the U.S. event.
‘Sky Sun, Tile Sun’ is about a city painted on a tile that undergoes intense explosion and bombardment.
Due to the incident, the sun breaks into many pieces and the city gets dark. But the people build a new sun together.
In the production of the flick, Arzhang has taken benefit of Iranian art manifested in the form of beautiful tile works.
The short animation participated in some global events, including the Sonoma International Film Festival in the US and the London Kurdish Film Festival in the UK.
The RIFF hosts a wide range of works from around the world and provides an opportunity for filmmakers, screenwriters and many experts to exchange experience.
This year’s edition of the festival is slated for July 1-25.
