Iraq Reports 3-Month Low in COVID Cases
BAGHDAD (Xinhua) – The Iraqi Ministry of Health reported on Friday 2,767 new COVID-19 cases, the lowest daily number in three months, raising the total nationwide infections to 1,134,859.
A statement by the ministry also reported 27 new deaths, raising the death toll from the infectious virus to 15,910, while the total recoveries in Iraq climbed by 5,769 to 1,034,396.
A total of 9,840,649 tests have been carried out across the country since the outbreak of the disease in February 2020, with 22,680 done during the day.
