Iranian Chief of Staff’s Warning:

TEHRAN (Dispatches) -- The head of the chiefs of staff of the Iranian armed forces said Wednesday that the Palestinian intifada is ready more than ever to uproot Israeli occupiers with the support of the resistance front and the Islamic world.
"We warn the Zionist regime, which has recently suffered the bitter and deadly blows of the resistance front and the powerful Palestinian intifada, … that the intifada, which has evolved from throwing stones to launching rockets and is on the verge of deterrence, is readier than ever to uproot the occupiers with the help of the resistance front and the Islamic Ummah,” Major General Muhammad Baqeri said.
He made the remarks on the eve of the International Quds Day, the last Friday of the holy fasting month of Ramadan, which was designated by the late founder of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khomeini in 1979 to express support for and solidarity with the people of Palestine in the face of the Israeli aggression.
Baqeri said that Quds Day was a big test to prove support for the oppressed Palestinian nation and condemn the "criminal America and usurper Israel”.
Quds Day is regarded as "one of the most important and influential events in the course of resistance and fight of the Muslim and oppressed people of Palestine against oppression, crime and occupation”, he said.
The event "has managed to form the global anti-Zionist movement and an awakening front in the regional and international arena through mobilizing and unifying power in the Islamic world,” the general added.
The senior commander called into question the Western countries’ claim of advocating human rights while they remain silent on crimes committed against the Palestinian nation.
"Which global institution or power is responsible for responding to the myriad list of massacres, warmongering, bombings and other crimes in the Islamic world, especially in the occupied territories?” he said.
"Today, the world monitors, counts and provides media coverage of … the number of coronavirus victims around the world, but no one asks who is responsible for the death of hundreds of thousands of those killed, held captive or gone missing from Palestine and other countries where the United States, Europe and the Zionist regime are waging war. And why are they indifferent to the oppression of the Palestinian people and the restoration of their rights, (while) on the contrary, they openly and brazenly support the Zionist aggressors,” he added.
Baqeri denounced the U.S. for brokering normalization agreements between the occupying regime of Israel and certain Arab countries, saying the scheme will fail like other conspiracies, such as the Greater Middle East.
A Bahraini opposition protest

movement on Wednesday described the International Quds Day as a golden opportunity to denounce the Manama regime’s normalization of relations with the Tel Aviv regime and reiterate the call for the liberation of Palestinian territories from Israeli occupation.
The February 14 Youth Coalition — named after the date when a popular uprising against Bahrain’s ruling Al Khalifah regime was born — called on people from all strata of Bahrain’s society as well as Arab and Muslim nations to hold rallies and mark the event, which falls on the last Friday of the holy fasting month of Ramadan every year and is commemorated on May 7 this year.
The opposition movement stated that its supporters will stage demonstrations in commemoration of International Quds Day across Bahrain, where participants will brandish national Palestinian flags at the same time as setting fire to Israeli flags.
The demonstrators will also express solidarity with Bahraini political prisoners and the Palestinian cause.
"Whilst puppet and traitorous Arab regimes in the Persian Gulf region have normalized their relations with the Zionist regime by accepting the so-called deal of the century and the opening of the Bahraini and UAE embassies in the Occupied Territories, Arab and Muslim nations across the world will mark International Quds Day to condemn such actions,” the February 14 Youth Coalition noted.
It underlined that Bahraini nationals and various political factions in the country must unite behind the main goal of the Muslim world, which is the Palestinian cause and the liberation of Jerusalem Al-Quds.
