Iran Mercantile Exchange Weekly Trade Hits $435mn

TEHRAN (Dispatches) - Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) on Saturday reported that over 18,000 tonnes of commodities with a total value of $435 million, showing 36 and 7 percent of growth in terms of volume and value respectively, were traded in its domestic trading and exports halls in the past working week (Feb. 9-15).
The reports said that 602,142 tonnes of metal and mineral products, including 290,762 tonnes of steel, 2,540 tonnes of copper, 8,520 tonnes of aluminum, 120 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate , 200 tonnes of cast iron and 300,000 tonnes of iron ore aith total  value of $221 million were traded in the IME domestic and exports halls in the last week.
And also, 415,336 tonnes of various oil and petrochemical products, including 124,500 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 142,964 tonnes of bitumen, 74,529 tonnes of polymeric products, 38,105 tonnes of chemicals, 33,200 tonnes of lube cut, 2,592 tonnes of base oil, 150 tonnes of argon, 250 tonnes of insulation and 1,190 tonnes of sulfur with total value of $215 million were traded in the IME domestic and exports halls.
There was also 1,038 tonnes of commodities traded on the IME’s side market.
