Italian Festival Screens Iranian Documentary

TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Iranian documentary movie ‘Holy Bread’ is selected for screening at the Trento Film Festival in Italy.
The film, directed by late Rahim Zabihi, will go on screen at the main competition section the fest’s 69th edition to mark its Italian premiere.
Produced by Touraj Aslani, ‘Holy Bread’ tells the story of some cross-border couriers who try to make ends meet by smuggling goods into Iran.
The 54-minute doc shows how these men put their lives in danger by crossing impassable terrains carrying very heavy loads.
It took nine years for the late documentarian to make the film.
The film has so far hit the screen at various global events, including the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival in the U.S. and the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
The Trento Film Festival accepts films with mountains stories. Besides, the event is a chance of gathering for mountaineers to share experiences they had in the rocky natures.
This year’s fest will be held online due to the pandemic on May 09-16.
