Diploma of Honor Goes to ‘The Souvenir’ at Russian Festival
TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Iranian short flick ‘The Souvenir’ has grabbed a diploma of honor at the 12th "You are not Alone” film festival in Russia.
Directed by Bakhtiar Khalili, the flick opens a window into rural life in the Iranian province of Kordestan.
The short film narrates the story of a little boy in a remote village in Kordestan who is trying to find a way to cure his mother’s headache.
While searching for a solution, he is surprised by some unexpected happenings.
Khalili’s short film has participated at a number of international festivals, including the 10th Walthamstow International Film Festival in the UK, as well as the 6th Kolibri International Film Festival and the 3rd International & Native Children’s Film Festival ‘CINEMA KIDS’, both in Russia.
The 12th Open International Film Festival for Children in Difficult Life Situations and People with Disabilities – "You Are Not Alone” was held on June 1-August 28, 2020.
The festival aims to provide a platform to enhance the adaptation of children with disabilities into the public environment.
