Saffarzadeh Devoted Her Knowledge, Talent to Iranian Revolution
TEHRAN(IBNA)- In a meeting on the poetry and personality of the late Iranian poetess Tahereh Saffarzadeh, her friend Fatemeh Rake’ei said that she well deserves the title of ‘Revolutionary Poetess’ as she loved the people of her country and her homeland.
According to IBNA correspondent, meeting on the poetry and personality of the late Iranian poetess, writer, translator and prominent university professor Tahereh Saffarzadeh titled ‘Always on the Way’, was held on Saturday, October 15 with a speech by Fatemeh Rake’ei (PhD), in the hall of literature of the Institute for Humanities and Cultural Studies.
At the beginning of the event, Rake’ei introduced Tahereh Saffarzadeh and said: "Saffarzadeh, one of the prominent figures of revolutionary poetry in Iran and literature, was born in the fall and died in the fall too. She lived her 72 years with love and all during those years tried to achieve her goals with love. Her honesty and lack of hypocrisy were among the characteristics that made her a popular and lovely character among the poetry lovers.”
She continued: "Saffarzadeh lived a simple life and was not a worldly character. It was not just in the field of poetry, but in all aspects she was considered a remarkable revolutionary figure as she had an artistic, scientific, cultural and research-oriented character.”
