Iran’s Khadem Named to Top Wrestling Board
PARIS (Kayhan Int’l Sports Desk) - United World Wrestling elections were held in the French city of Macon on Saturday and Iran’s Rasoul Khadem was named to the Board of Directors.
On his way to the roster, Khadem secured 76 votes to give Iran a clout on the prestigious seat where the country’s absence has cost it immensely in recent years amid a raft of controversial rulings in international matches.
Six new members were selected to the board from among a pool of 11 candidates for a four-year term.
