Surprises on the Way That Will Astonish Entire World
IRGC spokesman says undisclosed military capabilities will enter the battlefield in the event of a third wave of hostilities, announcing the unveiling of an underground missile city as a special gift to the Iranian people.
General Mohebi says its missiles breached multiple layers of enemy air defenses, while underground production facilities ensure its arsenal can continue to expand even under sustained attacks.
The spokesman warns that Iran's next response will be stronger and could leave its adversaries incapacitated for years, declaring that the capabilities already revealed are only part of the force's arsenal.
TEHRAN – The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps will unveil a new underground "missile city" and other military achievements as a "special gift" to the Iranian people, and will deploy new "surprise" weapons that "will astonish the whole world" if a third wave of conflict erupts, an IRGC spokesman said on Saturday.
"Surprises exist that, if a third wave of war with the enemy takes shape, will be unveiled and will have a presence on the battlefield — surprises that will astonish the entire world," Brigadier General Hussein Mohebbi told a news conference ahead of IRGC Aerospace Week.
"It is then that the whole world will find trust and connection with our aerospace force and its power, and the people of the world will know the IRGC aerospace force more than ever," he said.
"That day, all friends of the Islamic Revolution, lovers of the holy Islamic Republic system and the people of Iran will celebrate their joy, and the anger of the enemies will be provoked, and they will be astonished by this amount of power."
Mohebbi said the special gift to the Iranian people will be "the unveiling of the missile city and some achievements," adding that "if expediency requires, we may be able to unveil some of these."
Mohebbi outlined 14 achievements of the IRGC aerospace force, leading with the production of indigenous knowledge and the localization of global knowledge in the aerospace industry — a transformation, he said, that turned Iran from a weapons importer into an exporter and made Iranian aviation technology surpass that of the enemy in the values embodied in its technological components.
"Today our Shahed-136 drone has been copied in most countries of the world, even in America, and is being produced and used under other names," he said. "This is a great transformation that we are witnessing today."
"Today our aerospace industry exports its products to a large number of countries in the world," he said, naming the Arman missile, the Shahed-358 drone and the Third of Khordad air defense system.
"This is also a great achievement that we did not have throughout our country's history; in our country we were always importers of military weapons, but now, in addition to meeting our own domestic needs, we are also exporters, and this great achievement belongs to the IRGC aerospace force."
He stressed that "all our weapons in the aerospace force are produced with indigenous knowledge and indigenous expertise" — not imported, and not even reverse-engineered from wartime captures.
"This is a great success that we have attained over this passage of time: that we are independent in the military industries, especially in the aerospace industries, and we do not need to import weapons from other countries, import military advisers to train on weapons, or need parts for military equipment. This is a very great achievement that must be paid attention to."
The fourth achievement, Mohebbi said, was field management capability to use light and heavy, short-range and long-range weapons "in the midst of war and in crisis conditions and under enemy bombardment."
He said that during massive enemy bombardment, "we carried out our strikes against the enemy's assets, the enemy's capital, the enemy's forces and the enemy's equipment continuously and according to a timetable, and the enemy was never able to stop us from confronting them for a moment or to disrupt our strikes. This was a very great capability."
The fifth achievement was creating a balance of power centered on missiles, drones and electronic warfare.
"By giving priority to missiles we were able to stand against the enemy's equipment and create deterrence; by focusing on drone production we were able to heavily influence the enemy, and with electronic warfare we were able to overcome the enemy's technology."
He said Iran has brought down seven MQ-170 reconnaissance drones intact in the past one or two weeks.
"This is nothing but the superiority of our technology over the enemy's technology; and the weapons the enemy has brought to the field are the enemy's newest weapons, and that we can overcome the enemy, bring the enemy's drone down, and intact — that is a very great achievement."
The sixth achievement, he said, was the rapid, technology-driven entry into producing air defense systems after the second sacred defense — the 12-day war — followed by the third sacred defense, or 40-day Ramadan war, in which "we were able to overcome more than 260 enemy aerial vehicles, from F-35 fighter jets to 18 F-16s, F-15s, and numerous MQ-1, RQ-4, Predator and Lucas drones and all kinds of micro-drones and aircraft that the enemy had."
He noted the figures cover only the IRGC aerospace force, with "our friends in the Army of the Islamic Republic" announcing their own separately.
The seventh achievement, Mohebbi said, was flexible capability to continue producing missiles and drones during war and under bombardment, allowing production to be moved from the surface to below the surface.
"Just as we previously had missile cities for missile storage and readiness, now, with indigenous knowledge and Iran's vast and diverse geography and by using this capability, we have been able to create a 'missile production city below the surface,'" he said.
"The enemy, unaware, thought that by counting the limited number of our missiles we would reach the end of production, but it did not know that with this flexible capability we have moved our production from the surface to below the surface and continue production calmly."
The eighth achievement was the radar-evasion of Iran's missiles and drones. "In this war, our missiles passed through multiple layers of the enemy's air defense and successfully hit their targets, to the point of provoking the astonishment of the leaders of disbelief," he said.
"The technology used in these weapons caused the enemy's modern air defenses, including THAAD and Patriot systems, to become ineffective. In fact, the speed and power of our missiles passing through the defense layers caused these systems to become ineffective against us."
The ninth was effective deterrence against the enemy. "When the enemy attacked our infrastructure inhumanely to destroy the daily needs of the people, the IRGC aerospace force, by carrying out counter-operations, targeted the enemy's artificial intelligence systems, processors and infrastructure in the region and contained them," he said.
"These operations showed the enemy that whatever it wants to target our infrastructure, we will hit their infrastructure several times over; this is a very great achievement on the path of deterrence."
Mohebbi described the deep emotional and heartfelt connection between different segments of the people and the aerospace force, especially its commander, Seyyed Majid Mousavi, as a major achievement.
"Today the connection of different segments of the people with the personnel of the IRGC aerospace force, and especially with the powerful and brave commander of this force, Seyyed Majid Mousavi, is a close, emotional and heartfelt connection that can be seen continuously in the people's messages, slogans and behavior," he said.
"Today Brigadier General Sayyid Majid Mousavi is the symbol of the connection between the battlefield and the street, and this is a great achievement — that a field commander establishes such a bond with the feelings and emotions of the people of his country that he has their accompaniment, empathy and synergy behind him."
He said Iran was able to confront "the largest power in the world" — and not one power, but multiple powers behind it and alongside it — and forced them into deterrence.
"This power must be recorded and narrated for future generations, and every single one of our people must be informed of it, because some may not be aware of these powers. The whole world must know our power and recognize great Iran as a superpower."
The tenth achievement, he said, is close ties with the country's scientific, university, research and industrial centers, through which the aerospace force has continuously increased its knowledge in production and application.
"These centers today have close cooperation with the aerospace force, and in fact the aerospace force has created specialized, scientific and industrial connections with the country's centers and expanded defense to the level of all these."
The eleventh is continuous training and institutionalizing a model for producing believing, committed and specialized human resources to advance the military and offensive doctrine of the Islamic Republic.
"I emphasize these keywords because all of these are among the components of power," he said.
"The components of power of our enemies are summarized in weapons, but our components of power are many. One of the most important components of power is the belief, faith and commitment of the aerospace forces, which, praise be to God, with the designed training model, our human resources are continuously and steadily being produced for all-out confrontation with the enemy."
The twelfth achievement is the production of satellite carriers and satellites, including the Qased and Qaem-1 carriers and the Noor 1, 2 and 3 satellites, "with indigenous knowledge, the expertise of specialists and the commitment of those committed to defending the country and the Islamic system."
The thirteenth is the support, solidarity, empathy, accompaniment and synergy of the Iranian people with the aerospace force.
"This accompaniment and empathy and synergy between the people of Iran — people who live in the streets and homes of great Iran — with the aerospace force is such that all the people of Iran feel participation with every shot fired by the aerospace force," he said.
"As if an Iranian sitting at home watching the scene of a launch considers himself a partner in that launch."
Mohebbi cited remarks by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei to senior armed forces commanders, saying that "following the Supreme Leader's remarks, the vast sky and infinite space will be in the grip of our missiles, and without geographical limitation, we will be ready to defend the country's existence, identity, territorial integrity and ancient Iranian-Islamic civilization everywhere in the world."
"The enemy must know that the Supreme Leader's message breathed new life into our armed forces and removed the limitations of our armed forces in dealing with the enemy," he said.
"Today, any point we feel is a serious threat to us will be our target, and after being placed on the target list, we will target them with asymmetric operations."
He added: "We will be the guardians of the territorial integrity of Islamic Iran, the guardians of the holy Islamic Republic system, the guardians of the identity of the great Iranian nation, and the guardians of the culture and civilization of the great Iranian nation."
He assured Iranians that "your children in the armed forces, especially in the IRGC and particularly in the IRGC aerospace force, have not and will not neglect for a moment the fulfillment of their mission and the execution of the Supreme Leader's orders."
He said Iran will strike the enemy "more than our dear people imagine," and that "any aggression in any field and any arena against the Islamic Republic will have a heavy price for it, and it must pay for it for years."
Referring to U.S. and Israeli attacks, he said: "Just as today criminal America and vile Zionism receive the price of their attack one after another in military, political, economic and social arenas, these successive slaps are the beginning of the matter."
He warned that "if they again suffer a miscalculation, or the Zionists, for their own interests, again cause criminal America to suffer a miscalculation, they should know that our next slaps will be harder and will knock them down for years."
"Our battle is asymmetric and we can strike the enemy in places it does not imagine, but these actions can disrupt its operational capability and knock it down."
He said the enemy's material and non-material assets are capacities that can be used to advance objectives and confront the enemy, and that "we have numerous tools and capacities at our disposal and be assured that we will use these capabilities to knock the enemy down," while stressing that not all of these capabilities can currently be disclosed.
Mohebbi attributed all the achievements to the guidance of "our martyred leader” Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, saying he gave young aerospace personnel self-confidence, blocked weapons purchases, emphasized domestic production and endogenous aerospace science, and set missile ranges step by step.
"He was the one who determined the range of our missiles; sometimes he ordered a halt and sometimes he ordered an increase in range," he said.
"Ultimately, it was our martyred leader who, with his guidance, turned the IRGC aerospace force into a powerful, capable and deterring force against the enemy."
