Canadian Workers Join Global Port Blockade of Arms to Israel
OTTAWA (Dispatches) -- The Canadian Labor Congress, representing 3 million workers, urged members to refuse handling weapons bound for Israeli occupied territories and called on Ottawa to halt all direct and indirect arms transfers.
The move came as more than 25 unions across 22 countries and regions blocked arms shipments at 113 ports, demanding an end to Israel’s genocide in Gaza and recognition of a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Al-Quds as its capital.
